Funding entity Endesa
The model EXLA is a tool for the long-term scheduling of hydro systems developed for the ENDESA by the IIT. The aim of this project is to provide consultancy services to the staff of Endesa in charge of planning the operation of the hydroelectric reservoirs in the midterm. This consultancy will rely principally on the utilization of the model EXLA developed by the IIT in collaboration with Endesa. The particular objectives of this collaboration are the following ones: 1) Continued support for the configuration of case studies and analysis of results, 2) Extension of stochastic model for their operations 3) Adapting the model to optimization / simulation in the short-term, and 4) Inclusion of the pumped-storage units in EXLA.
